Tiger Electronics, Inc is pleased to announce that we are seeking a dynamic Territory Sales Representative, Field Sales Engineer, Sales Representative for our Connecticut, metro New York and Northern New Jersey Territory. www.tigerelect.com is a leading manufacturers representative of high-quality products selling to industrial OEM’s and contract manufacturers in the New England and Mid-Atlantic markets. We sell direct and through distributors like Arrow, Avnet etc. This territory is well established and growing so we need the Territory Sales Representative to maintain and grow existing accounts as well as develop new customers throughout their region.
The ideal sales leader will live within the Greater Hartford, Connecticut area, able to act independently while also working closely with an inside sales support, distributors and manufacturers directly. The ability to interact with engineering at our customer as well as think strategically about the territory and market development is going to be crucial for success in this position. The Territory Sales Representative must have a strong work ethic and be dedicated to providing quality follow up on new projects and leads. Salary Range: $75K-$300K+ No earning ceiling
Develop existing customer relationships, while also focusing on gaining new accounts and driving business development.
Identify new opportunities in existing account.
Recognize and convert opportunities into sales.
Present solutions and close sales by utilizing strong communication.
Ability to set up joint calls with Principle manufacturers with customer key Engineering.
Demonstrate business acumen, consultative selling skills, and understand value-based selling.
Uncover needs by utilizing consultative selling approach.
Work cooperatively with product managers and the sales team in our various principle lines.
Provide reports on request that outline opportunities their status and potential.
Demonstrate general technical knowledge of our lines and where and why they may fit at a given customer.
Skills including sales planning, forecasting, and CRM usage.
Attend appropriate conferences, industry meetings, and events.
Adapt quickly to new technologies and products.
Support and participate in Trade shows, distributor training and regular sales meetings.
Key Skills & Characteristics:
Self-motivated; ability to self-manage
Organized, with high attention to detail
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience with a proven track record of business development success and sales achievement.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Prior experience in selling electronic and or electro-mechanical products including power supplies, fans, cable assemblies, contract manufacturing, printed circuit boards, flex circuits and board level products integrated circuits and passive products is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, influencing, and closing skills.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage complex negotiations.
Experience with CRM tools and basic office software.
Ability to create trust and foster strong client relationships.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Ability to travel 50%+ very limited overnight travel.
